PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Objective: To realize a task-oriented project
management for efficient project controlling. This work package includes all
management work such as:

Organizing the bi-annual consortium meetings;

Organizing a kick-off meeting within the 2 months after
project start;

Arranging a midterm meeting for re-evaluating the high-risk
parts of POEMS and to decide how to proceed;

Coordinating the production of two annual reports and a
final report;
-
Maintaining a consortium-internal ftp site and a public web
site;
-
Ensuring that all reports and deliverables are of good
quality and presented on time to the European Commission;
-
Receiving and distributing all payments made by the European
Commission;
-
Collect cost statements and prepare summary cost statements
for submission to the EC;
-
Providing the interface for all general communication from
the project to the EC;
-
Arranging a final workshop open to external interest groups;
-
Writing a Dissemination and Use Plan;
-
Providing a Technology Implementation Plan.
At the start of the project, Project Presentation in the
form of popular science summary will be provided. Furthermore, a mid-term
assessment report on the progress of the research, and the partners' plans
for future research, are to be submitted before the end of the 19th month
from the date of the commencement. The project coordinator will organize a
mid-term assessment meeting at the end of the 19th month with the contractor
and the commission's representative. The purpose of this meeting is to
report on the progress to date and to redefine (if necessary) the project
programme for the remaining part of the contract.
Moreover, the objective of this workpackage is also to
support cooperation between this project and other projects of the Presence
research initiative, as well as with related proactive initiative. Main
